IF you use a cheap knock off light most likely it is a shortwave and leaves a pink color to your stone and will not
show off the Sodalite properly. You will require the Convoy 365nm, longwave, UV light to see what you see in the
pictures!

KEWEENAW Lake Superior Yooperlites
Found on the shores of Lake Superior in Keweenaw County of Upper MI., Using a UV Fluorescent Light.
The UV light is what makes the Sodalite glow. The display will vary depending on the quality of your light.
The pictures of the rocks were taken when rock is dry! With a Convoy
365nm, long-wave, UV light.
Fluorescent Glowing Rocks. The mineral Sodalite will fluorescent under long wave ultraviolet.
WHAT ARE & WHERE TO FIND YOOPERLITES:
The rocks are actually Syenite rocks that are rich in fluorescent Sodalite. ... The glowing rocks can be found mostly
on Lake Superior between Whitefish Point an Grand Marais, & on the Keweenaw Peninsula where I live as well as
reports of finding them on Lake Michigan near Chicago area and also near Port Betsie area.
Each is different and no 2 Yooperlites are the same as they each have their own personality of colored lights when the uv light
hits them.
They originated from Canada and were carried by the Glaciers to Michigan.
