    Rare Fluorescent IDRIALITE from the Culver-Baer Mine, Sonoma County, CA.
    Up for bid is a small cabinet size specimen of Idrialite from the Culver-Baer Mercury Mine in Sonoma County CA. Idrialite is a rare organic mineral with a formula of C22H14.
    This Idrialite
    specimen fluoresces a bright Green under all UV wavelengths (LW, MW, SW) although it is the brightest under longwave (365nm), which is what the photos are of (some of the green overexposes to white in these iPhone photos).
    There are veins of Aragonite that fluoresce white under all UV wavelengths (
    brightest under longwave
    ) and are also phosphorescent, and some red nonfluorescent Cinnabar.
