    Thompson, Jim. Director or Federal Writer's Project of Oklahoma. Calendar of Annual Events in Oklahoma. 1938. American Guide Series. First edition. 38 pages. Softcover.  Illustrated by Cowboy artist Wallace Simpson and Oneida Indian artist Walker Boone. Clear, spider web design tissues in before the front and after the rear illustrations.  Here is part of the Wikapedia entry for author Jim Thompson, this is his first published work:
    James Myers Thompson (September 27, 1906 – April 7, 1977) was an American prose writer and screenwriter, known for his hardboiled crime fiction. Thompson wrote more than thirty novels, the majority of which were original paperback publications, published from the late-1940s through mid-1950s.His best-regarded works include The Killer Inside Me, Savage Night, A Hell of a Woman and Pop. 1280. In these works, Thompson turned the derided crime genre into literature and art, featuring unreliable narrators, odd structure, and the quasi-surrealistic inner narratives of the last thoughts of his dying or dead characters. A number of Thompson's books were adapted as popular films, including The Getaway and The Grifters.
    VG+ condition.  Small bump at upper right corner has caused a chip in the cover there and small crease to the pages there. There is also a small chip at the bottom right corner - the covers of these guide books are known to chip very easily, handle with care.  Very slight wear around the top staple.  Slight bleed of the orange cover color on to the spine side of the front tissue protector page.  There is a sticker at the top of the back cover that may be able to be carefully removed (I'm not going to attempt it).   I use a poor/fair/good/very good/excellent/mint grading system and grade very conservatively (see my feedback). This does NOT necessarily correspond to the generic Ebay grading system that we must use.
