Mylonitized Calcite with Willemite Fluorescent Mineral, Sterling Hill, NJ

Unique specimen with highly elongated masses of Calcite (SW/UV red) with Willemite (SW/UV green).
This example of Mylonitization shows the interesting elongated structure from tectonic forces that have stretched and compressed the mineral masses. In this piece the mylonitized Calcite shows up as bright and dark elongated layers.
This piece also shows some minor Sphalerite (LW/UV orange) and Cleiophane Sphalerite (LW/UV pink and blue) as seen in the two long wave pictures.
From the Sterling Hill Zinc Mine, Ogdensburg, Sussex County,  New Jersey.

Must be viewed with a short wave ( 254 nm ) ultraviolet lamp or Convoy S2+ Long Wave flashlight.
