LL-234: 5.4 oz Long Lake Galaxy Type w/Aragonite Lightning, Fluorescent Minerals

Description

This 5.4 oz. rock is one of the few nice galaxy type specimens with aragonite that we have left.
From the Long Lake Zinc Mine, Parham, Ontario, Canada.
Under short wave lamp there is a colorful
galaxy of
golden yellow chondrodite
dots and some
blue-green di
opside
dots, with lots of
bright electric blue aragonite
lightning,
in a matrix of non-fluorescent calcite
(photos #1-4).
In daylight the rock looks like a mass of white & grey crystals, with a few tiny metallic crystals of chalcopyrite (photos #5 & 6).
Weighs 5.4 oz. & measures 2.25 x 1.875 x 1.5 inches.  (#LL-234).
