LONG WAVE and SHORT WAVE UV
Large specimen of Purple and clear Fluorite crystals with a white bladed Dolomite? crystal "mound" along with black Manganese oxide seen on the Fluorite and Dolomite. The Fluorite crystals are clear grading to purple with purple zoned edges on many.
This was collected by an acquaintance of mine who was on a Fluorite collecting vacation throughout Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois. He would not disclose exactly where in Kentucky this was from.
The bottom and back side have been saw cut flat. Nice display specimen.
The UV fluorescence is white with long wave and under short wave a weak blue (image #6)
