Large Fluorescent Sphalerite, Franklin, NJ #42

Description

A cabinet sized sphalerite specimen with willemite and franklinite. The sphalerite fluoresces best under longwave UV,
bright pink and orange with a more subdued version under shortwave. The willemite is fluorescent green under shortwave UV. The franklinite is non-fluorescent. Photos 1-5 are longwave and photos 6-9 are under shortwave. Collected at the Franklin Mine in Franklin, NJ. Size: 5" x 2-1/2" x 1-3/4". Weight is 1 lb. 13 oz.  or 812 grams.
You must have a 365nm longwave UV lamp or a 254nm shortwave UV lamp to properly view the fluorescent response of this specimen.
I always combine shipping whenever possible. I carefully pad and pack each item securely in a cardboard mailing box. I do not offer a gift box or gift wrapping.
