Description
Up for bid is an unusual specimen from the Third Plain Zinc Deposit in South Australia. The first thing I noticed about the specimen were the Orange-Red fluorescing Calcite Eyes that were surrounded by White fluorescing Willemite. This is similar to what you see at the Puttapa mine about 40 miles away.I had originally dismissed the matrix of the specimen as just Calcite that was fluorescing a Mauve color. However when I took the pictures and looked at them under magnification I could see that the matrix was composed of individual nodules of Willemite with a classic radiating crystal pattern. (see close up pictures) In general the outer covering of the nodules was fluorescing Mauve, then there was a layer of White fluorescing Willemite and the inner core was fluorescing Mauve or Red. I dont know if the Mauve is yet another rare fluorescing color for Willemite or if it is due to intermixed Calcite.

Domestic Shipping
For domestic shipping I generally use Fed Exp Ground for heavier and more expensive items, and US Postal Service Priority Mail for lighter and less expensive items. Both services have door to door tracking and full insurance. If you have a shipping preference please let me know. If the shipping service I use costs less than eBay charges, I will refund any excess. I only charge actual shipping costs with no extra charges for packing or shipping materials and will gladly combine shipments. If the combined shipping doesnt work for some reason, I will refund any excess shipping.
International Shipping
I use US Postal Service Priority mail for all international shipments. Please note that due to a lack of international flights, many overseas shipments are going by boat instead of air. This can add a month or more to delivery times. Purchase at your own risk.
