    Description

    * Unusual Hyalite Opal from Chalk Mountain, Spruce pine, Mitchell Co. North Carolina. Usually occurs as thin pale green crusts on matrix. These are unusual in that they formed in stalagtite type group of botryoidal crystals.  And they are highly fluorescent in short wave ultra violet.! Quite nice miniature specimen.
    * Specimen measures  .7 x .7 x .4 inches approx.
    * Please note that all fluorescent photos are taken with an 8 watt scientific quality ultra violet lamp in total darkness. Depending on your equipment fluorescent response might vary.
