This dipyramidal Hanksite Crystal was collected from the blowhole at Searles Lake California October 13th 2018
It weighs 9.6 Oz and measures 3 in x 2 3 in x 2 in.
It is a sulfur yellow color, and fluoresces under UV light.
Hanksite is a salt mineral, it will dissolve in water, and can be damaged by moisture. This piece has been oiled to preserve and protect it.
