    Description

Here offered is a very neat specimen of the type locality mineral Hetaerolite as small crystals and cleavages in a large vug along with a clear unknown mineral.  The Hetaerolite has lovely iridescence and is an excellent example for the species.  I was thinking the unknown was calcite but it doesnt have that structure.  It also does not fluoresce green so it can't be willemite.  Some of it does seem to have a dull orange response under Shortwave UV.   Maybe someone more knowledgeable on F/SH minerals can let me know what it is.  Matrix is made up of a classic mixture of willemite, franklinite, calcite and zincite.  Willemite is highly fluorescent under shortwave.
Comes with a Franklin Mineral Museum label as well as an older label from Family Minerals LLC.
