    LONG WAVE UV
    Ruby var. Corundum crystal that fluoresces red under long wave UV light. The two crystal faces show the nice geometric trigonal growth patterns associated with Corundum.
    The UV images show a blue/white film, I think that may be be oil from handling. I may try a cleaning and res hoot the images since typically these fluoresce brighter than this shows.
    From the Mysore Corundum deposit, Karnataka, India.
