    Description

    LONG WAVE and SHORT WAVE UV
    Bright fluorescing specimen of Lapis Lazuli under long wave and a dimmer but interesting reaction with short wave (pic2).
    This sample has a thin layer of white calcite covering one side with some Iron oxidation.
    The rock is metamorphic, a Marble, composed of chiefly of Blue Lazurite, White/Grey Calcite and Brassy colored Pyrite on addition to other Sodalite minerals probably Hackmanite etc.
    The above images were taken with Convoy S2 long wave UV light and a 6 watt short wave lamp.
