Description
LONG WAVE UVThis is a broken portion of a Nepheline Syenite "Yooperlite" rock with a nice amount of fluorescent orange Sodalite.
I break many of these to get a look at a fresh interior to examine the minerals under high magnification.
Fluoresces under long wave UV (Convoy S2 recommended, I have some in my store)
Collected in Milwaukee County Wisconsin along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
120 grams.
3" length.
NOTE!
I use a ConvoyS2 LONG WAVE 365nm UV flashlight with a band pass filter installed for finding these and the photos, you will need one as well to see the fluorescence as nicely as seen in photos.
