Fluorescent Hardystonite & Clinohedrite, Franklin, NJ #38

Description

A good-sized plate of hardystonite with clinohedrite, franklinite, willemite, andradite and brown plates of zinc schefferite(diopside). The hardystonite is fluorescent blue/purple,the clinohedrite is fluorescent bright orange, the willemite is fluorescent green. The black franklinite, andradite and zinc schefferite are non-fluorescent. UV photos are taken under shortwave lamps. From Franklin, NJ.(the type locality for hardystonite).  Size: 5-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1-1/2". Weight is 1 lb. 6 oz. or 612 grams.
