LONG WAVE UV
Chrysocolla with unidentified bright fluorescent white and orange minerals under long wave UV light. The fluorescing mineral is hard to distinguish visually, it is white and granular. It seemed to be prevalent on about 30% of the samples from where I bought this. Might be Caliche? Under short wave (pic# 7) white fluorescence is seen though weak.
This is a part of a larger piece I broke to get a closer look at a fresh surface. Note that it is a bit brittle and there is a fracture seen in pic #6 that could break free if dropped or handled rough leaving you with two pieces.
Attractive in daylight with the light Turquoise colored Chrysocolla.
