Description

Mibladen, Draa-Tafilalet, Morocco.
A complex Cerussite/barite/galena/more piece.
Bright YELLOW fluorescence greets the eye when viewed with a high quality 365nm (longwave) UV flashlight.
(The camera shows it more on the green side, but it is really more yellow.)  The shortwave presentation is very nice – see Photos #3 and 6.
And for brightness, Longwave
(Photos #4 and 10) and Midwave (Photos #2, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12) present stunningly bright yellow barite crystals.
And the daylight presentation, well, this is clearly a piece to be treasured!
The specimen weighs 3.4 ounces (99 g), and measures approximately 1.50 inches X 1.50 inches X 1.25 inches (3.6 cm X 3.6 cm X 3.0 cm).
NOTE: Typical Blacklight UV lights will not display any color.
Also, the intensity of the color will vary depending on the strength of the lamp you have.
