Antique Wheelock England Souvenir Plate Oklahoma City Flow Blue 7.75” from ~1907

This listing is for an antique flow
blue plate that’s a souvenir of a very early Oklahoma City. The State of Oklahoma was founded in 1907, which is the same year the Pioneer Telephone Building (pictured on the center of this plate) was constructed in downtown Oklahoma City. That building still stands downtown and is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. The plate is by Wheelock, as noted on the underside. The back of the plate reads, “Wheelock. [crown] England.”  In addition to the Pioneer Telephone Building the other locations highlighted on the plate include Belle Island Lake, the Belle Island Lake Bridge, White Temple, and the Court House. The plate has a vibrant transfer decoration that reads, “Picturesque Oklahoma City OKLA.” There are NO chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. There is some discoloration on the lower edge rim.
