    Description

    LONG WAVE UV
    Very nice dome polished specimen of Smaragdite var Actinolite, with fluorescent red Corundum. I had a few rough pieces cut and polished by a local Lapidarist.
    The Corundum crystals are different colors some yellow/cream, pink, even some purple. Magnification needed to get a close look at them.
    Its a fascinating and attractive fluorescent rock specimen.
    290 grams.
    4" length.

    I used a filtered Convoy S2 long wave UV flashlight to show the fluorescence in the photos.
