4" Zoned FLUORITE - 1171g - UV Fluorescent! - *Balochistan, Pakistan*

Description

This is really large and heavy fluorite and there are a lot of things to really like! The etching and "twisting" of the cubes is fascinating. The specimen is primarily gray in color but has a slight purple tinge on some of the edges, especially when backlit. That's another great thing - when backlight the specimen really lights up and the small bits of calcite really stand out against the fluorite.
If you are a fan of fluorite, these Balochistan pieces are unlike any other I've seen, especially with the twisting (Germany has similar but not this dramatic.) These were big on the market a few years ago but I've not seen nearly as many recently. Great chance to pick one of these up before they all end up in private collections.
